Asbestos Regulations – A Summary of Revisions for Property Owners and Managers

On 31 January 2006, the consultation period for the revisions to the Asbestos Regulations and the Approved Code of Practice came to a close. The majority of the changes within the documentation were necessary to implement the amendments required to the European Asbestos Worker Protection Directive (AWPD).

Asbestos Removal Options

You have options once you have found asbestos materials present in your home or commercial property: removal, encapsulation, or letting them be. Asbestos fibers become airborne when asbestos materials are disturbed, and once they are in the air they can be very hazardous.
