I still have blogposts for the roadtrip lined up and waiting for photos to be added, etc., but in the meantime, our neighborhood suffered a blow over the weekend when several old houses caught fire in a raging conflagration (which you can see here ). They were businesses — an organic nursery and a yarn shop — but they were also the proprietors’ homes, and both couples are stalwarts of the community, so the whole neighborhood has kicked into crisis gear
